Lenawee County Parents Express Displeasure with Health Department’s COVID-19 Rules in Schools

Adrian, MI – Parents of Lenawee County students, and other community members, were in attendance at the Board of Health meeting Wednesday afternoon, continuing to express their displeasure with the Health Department’s handling of COVID-19 rules in schools.

The board has not met in-person since September of 2021 due to, what they said was, a lack of quorum and “fear of violence.”

During the public comment section of the meeting, a wide range of allegations were made against the Health Department and Health Officer Martha Hall. One of those allegations was that COVID-19 policy changes were implemented without the guidance of the board. Another allegation being a threat of a $7,000 fine against a Lenawee County Superintendent if they do not follow policy.
