Chippewa Hills School Board Meeting

Approximately 70 community members attended the Chippewa Hills School Board meeting on Jan. 10, 2022. Approximately 30 concerned staff, alumni and citizens spoke out against the board-proposed Personnel Policy being pushed by OSHA. The policy would create a two-tier segregation of employees, based on vaccination status.

Tom Norton, candidate for the US House, also spoke against this proposed policy.

The community, with one exception, pleaded with the board not to pursue the new policy. The United States Supreme Court (USSC) was deliberating the OSHA mandate that same day and week.  Three days later the USSC voted 6-3 to reject the OSHA mandate as unconstitutional.

As a result of the school board’s action, a movement is growing in the community to endorse and support to replace board members at the next annual election.
